We are NOW accepting your films for submission!
Submission deadline for the 2004 festival is 10 July 2004.
The organizers of the Raetihi Film Festival welcome
the submission of films/videos, both short films and full length features.
We are currently in the "Call For Entry" phase for the 2004
Raetihi Film Festival. Submission deadline for this season is 30 June 2004. Submissions
can be sent to either New Zealand, or the USA (see below).
To submit your film to the Raetihi Film Festival,
you will need to: 1) pay the entry fee; one entry fee per submitted
film. Please include the film's TITLE when making payment. The entry
fee is US$14.00 (about NZ$20.00) payable through PayPal:

send a completed Entry Form, together with: 3) a MiniDV tape
(PAL [preferred] or NTSC), 1/2' videotape (VHS, PAL or NTSC) or
DVD of the film, clearly labeled with film title, director, contact
phone & email (we can't accept SVHS [SUPER VHS] tapes) 4)
a film still, postcard size, B&W or Color (actual photo print or digital files,
e.g. JPG, BMP, etc.), which may be used in the Raetihi Film
Festival Catalogue, this website, or advertising, should the film
be selected We hope to screen ALL entries, but will make a
final decision based on the volume of submissions.
Entry Fee
US$14.00
(about NZ$20.00) per entry for entries received
by 30 June 2004.
Entries received after 30 June 2004 will incur a late-entry-fee at additional cost of US$14.00
(about NZ$20.00). Final deadline for submissions to
the 2004 Raetihi film festival is 10 July 2004.
Prizes
There will be four prizes,
one each for the
best short and feature film as selected by the jury, and one each for the audience's choice
for short and feature.
More information about the prizes will follow closer to the festival.

Formats
The preferred format is (and screening will
occur in) PAL MiniDV.
Entries should be in one of the following formats: MiniDV, DVD (any
region is fine), or VHS,
either PAL or NTSC.
The following formats can not be accepted: 8mm/16mm/35mm film, Beta[SP], DVcam,
DVCpro, S-VHS, SECAM. Note: You may submit your initial entry in VHS, but if your movie is selected
for screening, and if higher quality footage exists (e.g. DVD/MPEG2 or
MiniDV), you should submit it before 30 June 2004.
Language
All non-English language films must have
English subtitles.
