Mission
Statement The
Raetihi Film Festival has three aims: first, to give newcomer
film makers the opportunity to show their films to an international
audience; second, to showcase established New Zealand film makers'
works; and third, to support the small community of Raetihi in
putting its theatre (reportedly the oldest in the Southern Hemisphere)
to best possible use.
August
2004:
Well, well, well – our first Raetihi Film Festival has come
to a close. The 2004 Raetihi Film Festival was held on 29, 30
and 31st of July 2004 in the Theatre Royal, Raetihi, New
Zealand. It was a great event!

Raetihi Film Festival
Unfortunately there will be no 2005 Raetihi Film Festival. We will post information here regarding any future plans for the second installment of the Raetihi Film Festival.
